What are phone themes?

A phone theme, or phone skin, is a program that modifies the elements of a cell phone's graphic user interface (GUI). Phone themes are different from cell phone wallpapers because wallpapers are displayed on a mobile's main screen only while a theme's background images are displayed on all screens of the interface.
